This might qualify for one of those "funnier in person" stories, but I'll try my best to make this as entertaining on the internet as it was to hear it in person. Cat lovers might want to click "back" before reading on further...

This happened many years ago during a particularly cold winter. It seems that a poor cat for whatever reason was unable to get out of the way of an automobile (or two) but despite the majority of its body becoming relatively flat, the head remained undamaged. However, the cat's face was frozen (understandably so) in a particularly expressive manner. The instructor telling the story used his own face to make his best attempt to re-create the expression on the cat's face. The best I can describe it would be on of unbearable constipation mixed with anger...along with some teeth showing as well.

Anyway, by the time the cat was discovered by Law Enforcement, it was somewhat frozen and very dead.

oops, that was me, forgot to login...

Anyway, to continue the story, Police Officer's being the creative individuals that they are, it was considered to somehow make use of the recently departed cat. What was resolved was to use the cat to adorn the sargent's patrol car. Specifically, the light bar, and so the cat spent an hour or two until being discovered. The sargent was mentioned to have wondered during that time to not understand the unusal looks he had been getting from other motorists.

Upon being being discovered, it was secretly transferred to the next unsuspecting officer's patrol car, this time (due to the late hour) being placed inside the car itself, in a position most likely to be seen when looking into the rearview mirror. The guilty perpetrators watched carefully as the unsuspecting officer entered the patrol car and placed it in gear and slowly began driving away. Almost immediately, a scream was heard, and the unsuspecting officer was seen leaping out of the partrol vehicle, which still happened to be in motion. No mention was made of any damage that the vehicle sustained or caused, but it was related as to how the whole reaction proved very ammusing to the co-conspirators, the unsuspecting officer himself also able to share in the humor that was felt.

Finally, the recently departed cat was utilized one last time on an un-named officer's wife, who unlike the other officers, did not find herself agreeable with the ammusement derived from the poor cat.

In any case, thus the saga of the cat was said to be concluded.
