I am the sister of Virginia State Trooper Jessica Jean Cheney who was killed in the line of duty on January 17, 1998. I'm getting ready to leave to go up to DC from Richmond, VA and even after all this time, I miss her more than ever and still feel some apprehension going up there. But the one thing that always gets me through is seeing those that honor the fallen and the bond I feel with other survivors.

Since BPD Officer Mark Stall fell (in the line of duty) it has been over 8 years already, and, he was my THEN Best Friend - there will never be another person like he was, so you can know that I still rue for him. I do have many other LEO friends, one of them being my NOW Best Friend, but, I still miss Mark a whole lot. So, I can sympathize with you and others who miss their loved ones also.
