This site began on February 3, 2003. The 'Beyond the Blue' chat room actually began in October of 2002. Our soul purpose for creating both the chat room and this site was to have a place for LE Officers and friends of LE Officers to relax, have intelligent conversations, share ideas and views, laugh, have fun and yes, sometimes even get a little goofy.

Beyond The Blue is dedicated to law enforcement officers around the world for all the sacrifices they make each day in order to keep us safe, and is in memory of all the fallen officers who have given the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting the citizens of this world.

That's what Beyond The Blue was meant to be and always will be. So in order to keep it that way we have a few rules that list the things that will NOT be tolerated. Please read them over, respect them and help make it easier for us to keep 'Beyond The Blue' what it was meant to be.

YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD TO JOIN THIS SITE AND ENTER THE CHAT ROOM.

This site IS not and NEVER will be intended for use as a sex site, there are plenty of sex sites on the net for that. A lot of sites have been destroyed because a few members start fighting, gossiping and acting like children. Please don't try that here, because that 'catty' childish behavior and drama will not be tolerated here.

Please do not use degrading or enticing user names here. The member's names used will be subject to the Site Operator's approval. If a member uses a name which is not appropriate, the member will be asked to change his/her name. If the change is not corrected the member will be banned from the site.

If you want to argue with a member here put them on your Instant Messenger or call them up and argue to your heart's content, but arguing in the chat room or Discussion Board areas will NOT be tolerated.

There will not be any posting of obscene pictures or material in any of the areas on this site.

Please do not use inapproriate language which includes 'strong profanity' or explicit sexual discussions.

Please do not harass, bash, gossip or make derogatory remarks to another member in the Discussion Board area or in our chat room. That also goes for being rude and annoying to others in Private with derogatory remarks and such. We are all adults, we can have fun and joke around, but there are lines that should not be crossed.

This is a police and police friend's site so bashing Police or the members here will NOT be allowed.

Please dont be a ' lurker ' in the chat room, if you don't want to join in the conversation and just want to sit, and be quiet, go to the library. A chat room is for chatting. :o)

Operators (Moderators) are generally in the room and are there to assist you in familiarization with the chat room functions and to keep the room a fun relaxing place for all. An Operator's nickname will be indicated by a @ in front of their name.

Access to the chat room is a privilege. You may be removed at anytime by one of the Operators for inappropriate behavior.

Sorry we have to have rules, but it seems that there will always be some people who do not know how to act as adults and refuse to show respect for others and even themselves. For those of you who do act as adults, please forgive the posting of these rules. They were not posted with the intent of offending anyone. Our only intent is to keep 'Beyond The Blue' a fun, relaxing, respectful place for LE Officers and their friends to meet.

By joining the site, posting on the message boards and or entering the chat room you are agreeing to these rules. Failure to follow the rules will cause you to be banned from this site without warning or notice.

Because bottom line, 'Beyond The Blue' will always stay what it was intended to be.
